These are candied fruits of some sort wrapped in edible paper. I cannot identify them. The green ones taste just like pickled plums, but each of them has multiple small seeds. The red ones look like cherries but they are not; each of these too has multiple seeds. They could be the same fruit treated differently.
I found them on East Broadway in the Fuzhou Chinatown. A bunch of them were sticking to a self-standing pole on the sidewalk (swipe to see). I love the green ones because they are very sour and sweet. I’ve never had anything pickled and candied. A great combo.
