Continuing to look at the data from NYC’s health inspection database (thanks to NYC OpenData API). Another thing I wanted to know was which zip codes have the largest number of restaurants. It’s not surprising that Manhattan dominates because of the density but I thought downtown Brooklyn (11201) and Flushing (11354) would make it to the top 10—they were 11th and 12th respectively.
Hell’s Kitchen wins, which is not surprising. Union Square is second place. The lower half of Hell’s Kitchen is third place. Tribeca is fourth. I was somewhat surprised to find my own zip code (10002) at 5th place. Swipe to see the rest of the top 10.
