Through NYC’s OpenData API, I downloaded the restaurant health inspection data and analyzed them. (Why? For the hell of it.) It’s a great source of restaurant data because all restaurants have to be inspected, which means this is the authoritative and exhaustive list of all the restaurants in NYC. Pictured above is the first thing I did: I wanted to know which cuisines were the rarest in NYC. Here they are.
