Overview Paragraph

Our college preparatory school focuses on American history and its interdisciplinary connections. Students learn in a supportive environment, allowing them to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. As the flagship high school of the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, we provide insights into AmericaÂ’s history through a rigorous curriculum that includes study in art, music (with a focus on opera), theater, and journalism. Our Advanced Placement (AP) program and partnerships with CUNY and St. JohnÂ’s University allow students to earn college credits. Our curriculum is enriched with trips to historical sites, the theater, and the opera, as well as community service, sports, and additional activities.
