• Program description: Program available to students of Chinese heritage/native language. Students will develop high literacy in Mandarin and learn about Chinese culture through a sequence of classes and activities culminating in an Advanced Placement class and a special project.
• This program, only open to Queens students or residents, offers honors-level courses in authentic science and math research and seminars in advanced mathematics and statistics.
• Offers opportunities to study civil, criminal and constitutional law and English electives.
• One-year multimedia class with opportunity to take a three-year advanced sequence of all aspects of theater.
• Instruction on all vocal, band, and orchestra instruments, beginner and intermediate band, jazz band, orchestra and percussion.

• Perform two contrasting monologues (one minute each). Further details about audition on school website. Wear attire that allows free movement.
• Vocal Music: Perform a prepared vocal selection. Please provide sheet music for pianist. Instrumental Music: Perform a prepared solo selection and a scale. Bring your own instrument (except piano, double bass, tuba, percussion and guitar amplifiers, which will be provided). For both art forms, the audition includes on-site music tasks (may include singing back melodic patterns, tapping back rhythmic patterns, play selected scales, or completing a sight reading, music theory or improvisation task).
