The primary focus of Clara Barton High School is to prepare students with an interest in the health professions for college and/or entry-level positions in a health career. As a CTE School, we offer students many career opportunities through a variety of special programs and courses. We also provide a challenging honors program (Gateway) for students that qualify. We test all students for proper programs and course placement.

Prgram Description
  • Preparation for entry-level positions in the health field, as well as admission to two- and four-year colleges.

    Students may receive CTE state endorsements in one of 6 different majors, preparing students for entry level jobs in these highly competitive fields.

    Majors: Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Assistant/ Billing & Coding, Nurse Assistant, Dental Assistant, Dental Lab Technology, Vision Technology

    Students can also enjoy several elective courses including: Yoga, Ceramics, Drawing, Computer Science, Business & Finance

    We offer in- school paid jobs and the Intergenerational Work Study Program at a local Senior Center.

    Through Medgar Evers College we give students the opportunity to begin their AssociateÂ’s Degree through the Pipeline Program.
