PROGRESS High School for Professional Careers is a rich, multi-faceted academic gem with a legacy of academic, athletic, and social excellence. Young men and women learn the art of succeeding in life and hone their leadership skills while experiencing the rewards of collaboration. Our mission is to educate the whole person for life. The mission is supported by an environment that nurtures a belief in the goodness of one another, community building, extracurricular programs, and a commitment to global justice through outreach and service to others in need. College and careers are integrated into all curricula and intensive guidance is provided to every child with the focus on professional careers of the 21st century.

Prgram Description
  • Focuses on science, math and technology; courses include anatomy, physiology, laboratory techniques, first aid, medical billing and coding.
  • Challenging academic program that prepares students for majors in scientific studies at competitive universities; offers Honors, AP, and CUNY College Now courses.
  • Courses in three concert bands, two jazz bands, chamber groups, and music history.
  • Courses in art history, drawing, painting, graphic arts, sculpture, stage design, AP Studio Art (2-D & 3-D Design, Drawing).
