Overview Paragraph

We balance arts experiences with college readiness for all students. Students take talent classes of their choice; they become musicians, singers, actors, and visual artists. Partnerships with arts organizations allow students to conduct openings at professional galleries; students co-teach STEM classes with teachers in CUNYÂ’s PERC program; and students visit colleges starting in ninth grade through the College Bound Initiative. Students earn college credits through Advanced Placement (AP) and CUNY courses, take on leadership roles, participate in sports, participate in a variety of after-school activities, and are given the academic and social support they need to succeed in school. We value a diverse and richly talented school community.
