Overview Paragraph | Leadership Institute is a small community-based high school founded by youth and educators at Sistas and Brothas United, the youth affiliate of the Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition. Through partnerships with our leading community based organizations: Phipps Neighborhood, The Leadership Program-21st Century Grant, The Future Project, and the YMCA-Rowes Scholar program, the school trains youth to be leaders who take charge of their schools and communities. A focus on Leadership, Community Action, and Social Justice encourages our students to take ownership of their community and gain an understanding of their rights in a fair, democratic society. The teaching of all three pillars would place our students in a college and career path. |
