Overview Paragraph

We capture the energy and interests of young people by providing apprenticeships. Students give public presentations each quarter on their learning. Each studentÂ’s curriculum is determined by his or her unique interests, background, and learning style. Each teacher is responsible for only fifteen children. Learning Through Apprenticeship (LTA) is the center of the Bronx Guild curriculum. At the worksites, students take on real-world tasks and projects under the supervision of a mentor. Back at school, the students work with their crew leaders building and reinforcing the skills and knowledge needed to complete those projects. Our very successful program has placed students in over 300 apprenticeships since opening our doors in 2002.
