Overview Paragraph

Community School for Social Justice (CSSJ) is an active and caring learning community where young people create and develop the intellectual and social skills to become thoughtful and engaged community members. We honor our studentsÂ’ heritage and values. We embrace a climate of social activism in which students are confident about addressing issues that affect their lives. We provide the emotional and academic supports they need to graduate and succeed in life. Our students learn how to ask questions and examine real-life problems. We guide them toward a sense of power and personal discovery to make change for themselves, their futures, and the world in which they live.
