Overview Paragraph

Central Park East HS embodies New York City, a cultural Mecca. Students come together in clubs like Poetry, Chemistry, Digi, Running, Improv, and many more. Academic excellence is deeply rooted in the culture of the school community and students are also expected to give back. We offer many programs during and after school, all of which include activities that support and enrich studentsÂ’ lives academically and socially. Eleventh graders support ninth graders in the Peer Group Connections mentoring program. Our schoolÂ’s staff takes time to get know students individually and personally. They are deeply committed to education and care about each studentÂ’s social and emotional well being.
