New Years Resolutions

The problem with many New Years resolution is that they are binary, like “I will quit smoking”; you smoke one cigarette, and it’s broken, so the resolution is meaningless for the rest of the year. Or, they are too vague, like “I will exercise more,” so you think you will do “more” later in the year. They need to be quantifiable. And someone else need to monitor the progress. So, betting is a good idea. Let me know if you want me to keep track of your progress and take your money (if you fail).
