Food for Thought

Noho Star used to be my regular business lunch spot but now it’s gone. I had to look for an alternative. Here are my requirements: 1. It must be relatively quiet so that we wouldn’t have to scream at each other. 2. The service must be on point (we wouldn’t want anything to cause frustration during a business meeting). 3. The food must be classy and accessible, and accommodate a wide range of dietary restrictions. 4. There must be enough space between tables so that we wouldn’t have to worry about other people listening in on our conversation. 5. It must take credit cards for a tax deduction. 6. It must always have a table available so that we can adjust the schedule flexibility. 7. It must be easy to get to (near public transportation). 8. The food must be served quickly. 9. It would not rush us out even after we finish eating.

That’s a lot to ask, but both Noho Star and Bowery Bar & Grill met/meet these requirements. It may have something to do with the fact that they had/have been around for a long time.
