Cleverness, we can pass on to our future generations, but wisdom, we cannot. Everyone starts gaining wisdom from scratch. This is why the words of Socrates or Shakespeare are still relevant today. Cleverness is timely whereas wisdom is timeless.
You can acquire more knowledge, skills, and talent than everyone else but, at the end of the day, they are only as good as your wisdom because wisdom is what gives them a purpose.
